First of all, here at Fargo Segway we are so excited to be your newest neighbor in the heart of downtown Fargo! There is so much history here, good eats and great drinks, all of which make for the perfect segway tours.
You might be asking yourself, what is a segway?
Maybe you’ve seen some of the hip scooters that the neighborhood kids tottle around on, or the cool electric scooters in some big cities around the United States and the world. Is a scooter the same thing as a segway? Nope.

What about those hoverboards that have viral videos of people falling backwards on them. Are those segways? Nope.
The Segway™ Personal Transporter (PT), formerly Human Transporter (HT). The Segway™ PT was invented by Dean Kamen and released to the world on Good Morning America in 2001. The Segway™ is a high-tech self-balancing transporter that is essentially powered by a motor, which has sensors according to how much the user tilts. To move the segway, the user leans forward to speed up and go forward, backwards to slow down, and to the right or left to turn. You can read more about how segways work here.

Segway quick facts:
Top Speed: 12.5 miles per hour
Weight capacity: 260 lbs.
Range: 17 miles
Basically, the segway is the most fun way to tour around the city and we can’t wait to give you a tour in Fargo. Stop in today to book your tour!
